Dental care
Date added: 08/04/09
Dental hygiene and caring for your teeth is very important during pregnancy. I would strongly advise that you visit your dentist and he/she can check the healthiness of your gums and teeth. The pregnancy hormones circulating in your body will probably cause some women’s gums to swell slightly and they are more susceptible to bleeding during brushing and flossing. However, there is a well recognised connection between teeth decay and complications of pregnancy, such as premature labour. Therefore, please look after your teeth.
